DAY 3 ROUTINE (GTO's 1st Day)

GTO's(Group Testing Officer) 1st day comprises of 

• Group Discussion
• Lecturate
• Group Planning (Indoor Task)
• Progressive Group Task (Outdoor Task)
• Half Group task
• Psychologist/Deputy President Interview

1. GROUP DISCUSSION

ISSB 3^rd day is GTO’s 1^st day, different Group Testing Officer (GTO) one by one come to testing hall & call loudly the chest numbers which is given to candidates by ISSB staff on 1^st day (reporting day) of ISSB. Then Group Testing Officer allot all specific called chest numbers award them new chest numbers, which starts from 1 to 7 or depending upon strength of group. Group Testing Officer lead the specific own group to a specific room, where all the candidates sit before him in a sequence of chest number. After that Group Testing Officer starts discussing about their stay in ISSB & ask the queries to build repo among the candidates & candidates can calm down in that situation during discussion. Then Group Testing Officer gives a Topic Of Discussion & time limit is of 15minutes.

TIPS:

Must take initiative to give a good start to discussion.

If you cant give a start or confuse about the topic then mmust participate in 2^nd or 3^rd number in the group.

Don’t interrupt others during discussion

If you want to call the candidate then call him with their chest number not with names or BHAI or something else

If you are agree with points of any chest number or disagree with any of chest number’s views, then start in that way e.g MEI CHEST#4 KI BAAT SY MUTTAFIQ KRTA HO KIO K……….. ya MEI CHEST#6 KI BAAT SY MUTTAFIQ NH KRTA Q K…….

You should participate with authentic views with reference e.g Quran, Poetry etc

During discussion have a eye contact with each candidate & never see towards GTO.

Don’t see down or anywhere else except candidates.

You can also involve the candidate who is not speaking or participating by directed him in that way e.g Chest# 10 aap ki raaye(opinion) iss k mutaliq kia hy.

     2. LECTURATE

After completion of Group Discussion, Group Testing Officer start the next testing task, which is called as Lecturate. In Lecturate Group Testing Officer assign a specific topic to a specific candidate & gives them a time of 2 minutes. In sequence of chest numbers GTO gives 2minutes to chest number 1 & after 2minutes when chest number 2 comes out of room, then chest number 1 enters in the room & starts his lecture. During this 2minutes one candidate thinks about the topic & other one candidate gives their points on topic in the room before GTO & other candidates.

TIPS:

Must speak loudly & with eye contact.

Speak in a genuine way, with strong points related to your topic which can be appreciable.

Include Pros & Cons related to your topic, & if a topic demands your opinion then must give your 1 opinion.

     3. GROUP PLANNING

After completion of Group Discussion & Lecturate, GTO start the next phase which is named as Group Planning. Group Planning is the indoor task. Must participate in planning, I will suggest you to make your mind quick in calculations of distance & speed related questions, because mostly in planning the task area for which you have to plan will be related to population evacuation from a devastated or a land which will be about to hit after sometime with disaster. So you have to plan for different areas like this, so you have to be prepared for distance & speed related questons, which will surely help you in participation & planning. Must keep in mind the main points which is given by GTO during briefing like number of peoples, speed on a rough terrain or spped on a cemented road, bridge capacity to face load of people etc . After planning GTO will ask to decide who will elaborate their plan, then decide by discussing with other candidates must select one candidate. 

      4.PROGRESSIVE GROUP TASK

After Group Planning Exercise, GTO will leads the group to outdoor task area where GTO will brief the group about the task & inbound-out of bound area in the task.  As this is the Progressive Group Task, so it  consists of different phases. You should do the task individually, cooperate with the whole group as this is the time to show your team work spirit. Believe in team work & you will surely accomplish the task. Never see towards GTO during task & you have to take care of other candidates. Be aware of fouls, if something happens related to fouls then ask the chest number to repeat that, so that foul can be clear.

At the end of this day(3rd day of ISSB), half candidates will be called for Psychologist interview & half for Deputy President interview.
